The Shire of Toodyay with the support of Inclusion WA hosted the fifth edition of the Toodyay Inclusive Community Program in January. The event saw an impressive 700 participants involved in a range of inclusive sport and recreational activities throughout the week. Local community members ranged from 2 to 80 years of age. The community owned program delivered a whopping 1366 hours of inclusive sport and recreation to the local community in January.

In 2012, I joined Inclusion WA as a 19 year old University student. After spending time coaching kids’ sports and tutoring high school students I applied for the position as a Youth Development Officer through Inclusion WA and was fortunate to be offered the position. Three years on in my role, I am in my final year of study and have been supported and encouraged by Inclusion WA all the way. Work here is flexible, fun, interesting, and I feel lucky to have experienced some unique opportunities.
We are very excited to announce that the Community Inclusion Service is expanding further into Perth’s northern suburbs with a new office opening shortly in Joondalup.
