Woodside Operated North West Shelf Project
The Woodside-operated North West Shelf (NWS) Project proudly supports the Inclusive School Holiday Program in Karratha, Western Australia.
Run every school holidays since July 2011, the Inclusive School Holiday Program is a multi-sport initiative that offers members of the community an opportunity to engage in a range of sports offered by local Karratha sporting clubs.
The partnership focuses on developing the sustainability of the Program, with Inclusion WA’s Sport and Community Development staff working closely with sporting clubs and local carers and community groups.
Inclusion WA is confident the Inclusive School Holiday Program will remain popular with the community and continue to provide mental, physical and social benefits to the residents for years to come.
Each year, the NWS Project supports a range of community programs and sponsorships which bring positive and sustainable benefits to the Shire of Roebourne community in which it operates. Support is provided to a range of schools, sporting clubs, not-for-profit organisations and local community groups.
Representing an investment of more than A$27 billion, the Woodside-operated North West Shelf (NWS) Project currently accounts for more than 40 per cent of Australia’s oil and gas production.
The NWS Project is a joint venture between six major international companies. It is one of the world’s largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) producers, supplying oil and gas to Australian and international markets from huge offshore gas and condensate fields in the Carnarvon Basin off the north-west coast of Australia.
